In its 12th year, the Oliver Empowerment Awards remain the most established premier awards for Leadership and innovation in Empowerment and Transformation. Transnet Foundation is proud to be associated with such a prestigious event that has undoubtedly created a legacy of inspiration for the country's business elite.

The Awards have given our country, South Africa a great opportunity to recognise outstanding leaders, whether individuals or organisations, that have exemplified inspiration, vision, innovation, leadership and action for Empowerment and Transformation whose success today is legendary in the world of business.

It is obviously because of the Awards’ objectives that Transnet felt compelled to be a part of this event and participate as it is also part of its objective to uplift the communities within which it operates.

“Transnet has always played a major role in the development of skills that empower our communities and has always led from the front when it comes to transformation issues. It is therefore not a misnomer for it to fully participate and sponsor such an event that recognises those of us who have exemplified inspiration and great leadership,” says Sibusiso Ngomane, Senior Manager: Communications at the Transnet Foundation.

At the 12th Oliver Empowerment Awards, held on the 26th of April, a legacy of past achievements was remembered - in the Hall of Transformation Business Legends - where companies and individuals, now household names in the empowerment and transformation are honoured.
